SPF Portfolio 2024
Paisley Photographic Society are delighted with their recent results in the Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF) Annual Portfolios competition.
In joint first place with Brechin Photographic Society, we were honoured to receive best Monochrome Club for 2024.
Also our incoming President for the 2024/5 season, Iain McFadyen won an SPF Bronze medal for his photograph ‘Natural History Museum’ chosen as John Tillotson’s Judge’s Choice Mono Print. Congratulation to Iain for this award.
The standard within the SPF is very high across all clubs, therefore to achieve joint first is very special. It is fantastic result, and will encourage established and new members, knowing that we can produce quality work that can compete at high levels of competition.
Historically, Paisley Photographic Society was known for producing prints, even in the days of slides/transparencies. It is good to see the tradition is still there, even though the technology has changed over the many years the club has been in existence.
